Today is Hugo’s in Atwater’s second birthday (also Mexican Independence Day)!
“We may be young,” reads an email blast earlier today, “but Nuevo Mexicano cuisine is on the rise. We fuse traditional tastes with a stealthy healthy approach: organic products, lots of vegetable (vegan-on-request) options and fresh, from-scratch cooking.” And it is GOOD – Atwater Village Now readers will learn eventually of my obsession with the nachos, which I order once a week!
Hugo’s also participates in Atwater’s Summer Nights on the Blvd., which is coming up on Thursday, September 23 from 6-10:00 pm. Hugo’s will be hosting an “Ice Creme” Social, and last month they even had a blues band performing across the street from the restaurant.
