Why go here?

If you’re looking for some autumn-friendly comfort food, look no further than Baracoa Cuban Café. This family-run restaurant on the center of Glendale Boulevard boasts a tasty menu of delicately spiced dishes.

The Arroz Con Pollo (or chicken and rice) is a local favorite, as is the cubano sandwich and the empanadas. But if you’re really looking for a treat, try the Polla Al Horno. The oven roasted quarter chicken is seasoned with garlic and citrus juices, and comes out of the oven piping hot, covered with thinly sliced grilled onions. Ask for your “beans on rice” instead of side by side. The resulting blend is mouth-watering.

Be sure to check the menu board, as they offer daily specials (their soup of the day is always a treat).

The restaurant itself is small, but inviting – a combination of high-backed leather booths and flat tables. There is also outdoor seating. They also do a decent amount of take-out orders. Just call in advance, and they’ll have your order neatly wrapped and ready to go.
