Atwater Village annual Christmas Tree lighting!

It’s that time again – Atwater Village is celebrating the 19th annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. The Atwater Village Chamber of Commerce and the Atwater Village Neighborhood Council are behind this tradition, lighting the 80-foot redwood tree on Glendale Blvd. and Brunswick Avenue. Meet up at the nearby Wells Fargo parking lot at 6:00 pm for the ceremony, and watch Santa Claus light the tree from a fire truck.

Earlier this year, Garcetti’s office asked for an additional $6,700 for Atwater’s tree lighting ceremony for 2009 – let’s hope this year the cost doesn’t put a damper on the celebration.2010 Sponsors include:
