For garden lovers: Atwater Village garden in weekend-long tour

Garden-lovers in Los Angeles have a special weekend ahead – the 9th Annual Theodore Payne Native Plant Garden Tour takes place on Saturday & Sunday, April 14 & 15, 2012 from 10am-5pm each day. The tour celebrates 37 area home gardens that concentrate on “native plants, smart gardening practices and the natural history of our region.”

Among quite a few northeast Los Angeles locations in the Saturday tour is a beautiful home in Atwater Village. “Garden 7″ features dozens and dozens of native and mediterranean-climate plants throughout its 6,250 square foot garden, which uses no supplemental water.

To join the tour, tickets are $25 per person and must be purchased online, then picked up at specific locations ahead of time. Click here for more information.
