Even with a skyline filled with power lines, Fletcher bridge and the LA River look pretty good with a background of clouds hugging the mountains. The rainy weekend was definitely worth it!

Our business in Atwater Village only lost power for 20 minutes yesterday morning, but not everyone in the neighborhood fared as well as we did. This enormous tree on Glenhurst Avenue near Silver Lake Boulevard must have made a BIG sound coming down – unfortunately a car parked on the street as well as the car parked in the driveway are still trapped underneath. The house looks better than the cars, but likely sustained a bit of damage as well. Hope everyone is safe and the city gets to work on removing the tree soon!

Right before the holidays, a fire in your home is devastating. Last night at around 5:00 pm, firefighters arrived to work on a fire that broke out in the living room of this Perlita Avenue house in Atwater Village.
It took 30 firefighters and just 10 minutes to knock out the fire. No injuries were reported. We are glad everyone is okay and wish the homeowners/renters the best of luck!
The best part of the decorations really come after dark when everything is lit up, but this photo will give you a good idea of what to expect! Happy holidays everyone!

This tree along Glenhurst Avenue in Atwater Village lost a pretty large limb during the recent rains we’ve been having. Hopefully noone was parked under this large tree at the time! We totally dig the new(ish) mural outside of Bill’s Liquor store in Atwater Village, which was painted earlier this year. “Electric Earl” documented the making of this mural, doing a lot of the hard work for us and posting all the photos on Myspace:

In the last photo above, firefights are throwing debris and pieces of wood and furniture out the main window of the house as concerned neighbors look on. You can even see remnants of the living room couch now on the front lawn.
